Tammy Yonker was born in Lawrenceville, Virginia. At the age of four she and her parents relocated to Stanley, North Carolina due to better job opportunities for her father. All through High School Tammy always aspired of becoming a nurse. Her love and compassion for the elderly lead her to become a nursing assistant (NA) in which she did for several years. With her dream of becoming a nurse on a shelf for a while.
Tammy realized one day that being a nurse is what would truly make her happy. She took her dream and started paving the path to make it a reality. Tammy applied and was accepted to and attended Mercy School of Nursing where she received her concrete foundation for making her dream a reality. She later transferred to Gardner Webb University where she graduated
with her Associates Degree in Nursing.
Tammy is currently working on her Bachelors Degree at GWU with hopes to also attain her Master’s degree in nursing as well.
